Timbuk2 Catapult

Timbuk2 Catapult

Ever since I moved to my current company almost two years ago, I’m always on quest to simplify my EDC and part of this is to look for smaller and lighter bag.

In my current company I don’t get a laptop, instead I get a full-tower PC. Hence good-bye heavy laptop backpack. I also don’t have to prepare for long hours like I used to in my previous company, hence a lighter load.

Messenger bag that I bought last year serve me good, but unfortunately not small enough. When I saw messenger that I’ve been wanting since last year available at Bukalapak, I hesitate at first since I never buy from that e-commerce website, thankfully the seller also open their store at Tokopedia.

The bag on sale for IDR 463.000 (~$35 at the time of writing), which is cheaper compared to listed price at timbuk2 website ($49). They only sell one size and color only tough, a grey granite color and M size. The size is perfect since M is the smaller size available, but I’m not so sure about the color, I’m afraid it will get dirty fast.

Anyway the bag arrived on 23/04. I’m impressed by the build quality of this thing. If only they include a clip in addition to the velcro on the flap, it’d be perfect. It’s worth noting that my timbuk2 bag is made in Indonesia, quick google search show that timbuk2 indeed have a factory in Indonesia, that’s neat and also I’m proud that I use bag made by my fellow countrymen.
